Rent Assist is a monthly shelter benefit for low-income Manitoba renters, whether or not they receive Employment and Income Assistance. It is portable if you move.

Who qualifies
- Citizen or permanent resident
- You pay rent or room and board in unsubsidized housing
- Net income below limits, e.g. $29,120 single; $33,920 single aged 55+ or with DTC/CPP-D; $38,720 two people; $50,240 three or four; $60,768 five or more
- Not in Manitoba Housing, on reserve, in student housing or care facilities

- Download the application or call Provincial Services
- Submit with income and rent proof
- Renew annually as requested
