The ACCB helps B.C. families with monthly child care costs, paid directly to the child care provider. Eligibility depends on family income, family size and the reason you need care.

How much

Depends on income, family size, care type and child age; maximums for group care for example are $1,250/month (under 19 months) and $1,060/month (19 to 36 months).

Who qualifies

  • You live in B.C. and are a citizen, permanent resident, convention refugee or protected person
  • You have a reason for care such as work, school, job search or a medical condition
  • Your adjusted family income is within limits (generally up to about $111,000)
  • Your child is in eligible child care

  2. Arrange child care and get provider details
  3. Apply online through My Family Services
  4. Submit income verification and supporting documents
  5. Renew before the benefit period ends
